In many sports, injury is almost inevitable and it’s therefore important to have a plan to ensure that players get quick and effective treatment and rapid rehabilitation. Even for the majority of weekend warriors, it’s important to get back to work as soon as possible as well as back to the sports we love.
For many years the team at Moorhouse Medical Centre have provided a great service for sports injuries. With doctors, nurses, X-ray, pharmacy and physiotherapy all on site, we have a one stop shop for sports injuries.
We know how expensive treatment can be, even with ACC and we have therefore put a special package together exclusively available to sports club members.
Sport Injury Package
- Free treatment for wounds under ACC, (applies to any open wound)
- $30 flat fee for any ACC injury requiring an X-ray, includes X-ray, consultation and treatment
- Free crutches with refundable bond
- No limits on when you can attend – 8am to 8pm 7 days a week
- 50% discount on Physiotherapy ($15 for first assessment and $10 for follow up treatment)
- 10% discount on Pharmacy
- 10% discount on all other services if you are also a student (student ID required)
Administration
- We provide you with a sticker for every member to go on your club card, or another card if you don’t have one e.g. student card.
- When a member arrives requiring treatment, they need to let reception know which sports club they belong to and to show a card with a sticker.
- Reception will check the membership list for current membership
- If they don’t have a sticker we will give them another one so that they can easily access the pharmacy and physio discounts.
- We will automatically renew annually by letter advising you of any changes to the scheme.
