Applicants for residence and applicants for temporary entry intending a stay in New Zealand of more than 12 months will need to provide a full Medical and Chest X-Ray Certificate.

How does it work?

On arrival your nurse will undertake your initial tests and observations followed by fasting bloods and chest x-ray. Immediately afterwards you will have your medical examination with the doctor.

Once the results are all back (generally 2 - 4 days) your paperwork will be ready for collection.


Do I need to bring anything?

  • Passport

  • 3 recent (less than 6 months old) and all the same passport photos attached to your medical forms.

  • Immigration medical forms with personal details on pages 1, 2, 13, 14, & 15 completed.  (click here to download a copy)

  • If parent or guradian accompanying a minor you must also bring your passport and proof of guardianship.

 Remember to fast for your blood tests a minimum of 8 hours and not longer than 14 hours.


What do I do now?

To book an appointment, visit us to speak with one of our receptionists.

We do not take phone bookings as you will need to provide us with personal details and pay a deposit. You will also receive an instruction sheet at the time of booking.

Note:

  • X-ray and blood testing will be completed on site.
  • If you have difficulty understanding and/or speaking English, please bring an interpreter.
  • Option of online applications available soon.
